With the retirement of Gene Miller as Conference Minister, New York Mennonite Conference Coordinating Council has selected Terry Zehr to be our new Conference Minister as of October 1, 2017. Gene Miller has agreed to continue his role as Outreach Coordinator. We are expecting a smooth transition and look forward to working with Terry on Conference matters.
The Coordinating Council

Terry Zehr comes to the Conference Minister position after many years of service in various capacities.  He was pastor of Watertown Mennonite Church from 1998 - 2008, NYMC Moderator for six years, and District Minister from 2008 - present.

He was owner/operator of a family owned business from 1991 - 2007 and spent four years working in industry in southern NY.  Terry has been married to Lisa for 29 years and they are the parents of three sons, Brian, Jordan and Collin.  Terry and Lisa live in Lowville, NY, the town where Terry was born and raised.
