Report Misconduct

New York Mennonite Conference is committed to providing a safe place for persons who have been victims of pastoral sexual misconduct to file a report with a supportive first responder.

Pastoral sexual misconduct is any uninvited sexual engagement of any kind committed by persons in ministerial positions.

Once the initial misconduct report has been received, immediate further steps will be identified. Your safety is our primary concern.

To report pastoral sexual misconduct:

please call Beth Steria: 315-376-7317

Beth has been a caseworker and case supervisor for Lewis County Department of Social Services, in both child and adult protective and preventive cases. Beth also worked 18 years as a Correction Counselor for the New York State Department of Correctional Services, providing individual and group counseling for incarcerated men. Beth’s work as counselor and caseworker has brought her in contact with many who had stories of abuse and exploitation. She will receive your story with understanding and compassion.
